    Description

    Vintage Celluloid Hand-Painted Hair Pin Comb Bun Holder Gilt Paint Floral Design
    This gorgeous vintage celluloid hair accessory is in excellent shape.  The body of the comb is two-tone in color; a translucent honey yellow and a translucent brown.  It has been hand-painted with gilt, orange and green paint, with a decorative floral design.  The age is circa 1920s or 1930s judging from the material used, the design and the estate that this came from.
    Hallmark:  Not signed.
    Measurements:  length - approx 4 1/2 inches,  width - 1 3/4 inches at the widest portion.
    Condition:  This is in incredibly good shape.  There is no apparent wear on the hand-painted motif.  The celluloid has no cracks.  There is one small (very minor) scratch on one tooth of the comb.
